Taxi booking — your questions, answered straight

House of Taxi publishes a one-way rate per km for its cars: ₹16/km for a sedan, ₹19/km for an Ertiga and ₹24/km for an Innova Crysta, with a minimum one-way fare of ₹1,500, ₹2,000 and ₹2,500. The 12-seat Tempo Traveller, 12-seat Force Urbania and mini bus are quoted on request for each trip. Car rates apply up to 150 km — longer drops are charged less per kilometre, down to ₹9.50/km for a sedan beyond 550 km, and the exact fare is shown before you confirm. You pay only for the distance you travel, never for the driver's return.

Amritsar to Delhi is about 450 km. This is one of our published fixed-fare routes: a one-way sedan is ₹6,500, an Ertiga ₹8,000 and an Innova Crysta ₹12,000 — set prices, not a per-km calculation, so there's no toll or GST maths for you to do. The booking app shows the exact fare for every car before you confirm.

Not on a one-way booking. A one-way fare covers only the distance you travel, never the empty return leg. If you want the same cab to wait and bring you back, book a round trip instead — ₹12/km for a sedan with a 250 km daily minimum.

A fixed night charge applies only when pickup falls between 10 PM and 6 AM: ₹300 for a sedan or Ertiga, ₹400 for an Innova Crysta and ₹500–600 for tempo travellers, Urbania and mini buses. It is shown as its own line in your fare before you confirm — never added afterwards.
